Bikebook set out to modernise a traditionally offline industry - independent bike workshops that relied heavily on pen, paper and patchwork systems. These small businesses needed a digital solution that didn’t overwhelm or overcharge them. The challenge wasn’t just technical, it was behavioural: create a platform that felt native to bike mechanics, not tech teams. Simplicity, speed, and practical relevance were essential for adoption.
We worked closely with Bikebook to design and deliver Workshop, a low-cost, workshop management platform purpose-built for independent mechanics. Features included in-app parts approvals, automated inventory, customer messaging integration (across WhatsApp, Email, Instagram, and more), and digital reporting - all focused on reducing admin and improving service. Our design process centred on direct mechanic feedback, ensuring every function was intuitive and workflow-aligned. Workshop transformed everyday operations for early users and laid the groundwork for broader market rollout in an underserved niche.
