After a major rebrand, Wood Mackenzie needed a quick, but solid “design-system light” to replace ad-hoc styles and speed up hand-offs between its New York design lead, in-house developers and global marketing teams.
We ran a condensed component audit, grouped the most-used website patterns, and rebuilt them as tokenised components in Figma. Weekly remote reviews with Wood Mackenzie’s senior designer kept brand details tight while our team mapped each component to Optimizely’s model. Clear usage notes and accessibility checkpoints were wired into every layer.
The “light” system shipped on budget with 30 reusable components, complete documentation and ready-to-use Optimizely specs - giving Wood Mackenzie’s future teams a reliable foundation for faster, uniform releases.
