Last week I had the opportunity to meet other local web designers and developers at the London Web Meetup in Putney.
Nathan O’Hanlon started the with a presentation on using HTML5, CSS3 and micro formats.
He was then followed by accessibility evangelist Artur Ortega demonstrated bleeding edge web accessibility, with WAI-ARIA for Web 2.0 sites. Artur talked about screen readers for the blind, and demonstrated a couple (with some hilarious results – sorry Artur!).
All in all, it was a great chance to meet fellow web designers and developers in the London area.
Feel like you missed out? Sign up to the next event in March.
